Here’s something I cooked up today
While the missus was away
In honor of the moon
in honor of the night
In case you missed it last night.
It’s almost August, which means soon all my AmeriCorps restrictions will soon be gone, and I can start making money again!
This means I gotta start writing this damn Kickstarter so I can get a new computer to use for a killer live show!!
I just need to figure out a few thins…
-what to reward ppl with for funding
-how to spread the word as fast, far, and wide as possible
-how to turn “I need a new computer” into “I want to make this a thing”
I mean, I already have an album planned, but I can muddle along with my old computer just fine in the production of it. I can’t, however, perform at all because my laptop is not mobile (damn thing ain’t even CLOSEABLE at the moment)…
And at the same time, I don’t really want to do a “fund my live show” campaign, because that would necessitate budgeting in lights, projectors, who knows what else…and all I really need is a new MacBook with Ableton 9…
Any tips? Thoughts? I could basically expand on this, emphasize that my computer is old and dying and doesn’t have the power to finish the album, let alone tour or perform…
Anyone out there with an opinion?
Oh man, listen to that tapey-goodness!
My boi & label mate, Carter (A.K.A. Pine Grove.) just put out these tape dubs of all his most recent releases, included among them: my latest remix!
While I’m more a fan of MY mastered version (this one sounds like there’s a box of snakes sitting in front of the speakers) - there’s something to be said for the analogue compression and artifacts that come from using outdated technology. amirite?

Here it is: one of the two things I’ve been trying to build excitement for for some time, my Pine Grove Remix!! I couldn’t be happier with how this one came out, and I hope you’ll agree. While you’re listening to this one, you should listen to the original, and the two other original tracks on the single, as well as the other, equally awesome (if not more so) remix!

As promised, here’s a couple songs I put together like…3 years ago(?) My first real work in electronic music. Seems like it was so long ago… Forgive me if it sounds a little…raw. My mastering/mixing was not as good as it is these days.
Here’s another oldie for your face. A little house tune that just kinda…came together. One of my more inspired songs for sure, though I dunno if I’d try to make another like it.
Okay, so I lied, I can’t stick to one song a day at this rate. Here’s an old one I did quite a while ago. I’ve even performed this one live.
**EDIT** Shit…I’m actually taken aback by how not sucky this song is…
Here’s another one I did recently. It was before I got my new speakers, but the sound’s pretty decent imo.
Check it out! It’s my most popular tune to date.
Pine Grove. is also my bro & label-mate whose single I remixed (the one i’ve been sitting on all month in ever-growing anticipation)
So I’m REALLY gonna start trying to stir up some hype for the end of this month, just like I’m REALLY going to push to make sure all these things I’ve got my hands in get out by the end of this month.
I’m like nearly 99% sure that this single w/my awesome remix will be out by the end of the month.
And the compilation I’m supposed to be on is like 2 months late (mostly my fault, I fear) but I think I’ve done all I can to help get it out…maybe there’s more I could be doing, who knows?
I’ve also got a remix I’m doing for another friend. I wanna do one in my own style, but I promised her I could do a skrillex-style dubstep remix, the kind that sounds like robots fighting dinosaurs that have laser-beam eyes.
So there’ll be that one…and then a “real” one.
Not to mention the EP i’m trying to have out by Aug/Sept.
So stay tuned, and help me build the hype!!
Anyone in the Seattle/PugetSound region wanna be in my crew?
I need ppl to rap, be in music videos, buy/wear t-shirts and merch I make, etc…
The job pays absolutely nothing but my friendship.
